Welcome to Eco Borduur Shop, the online store for eco-friendly embroidery, knitting, and sewing supplies. Based in Drachten, I deliver sustainable materials, beautiful yarns, fabrics, accessories, and inspiring downloadable patterns and courses for creatives in the Netherlands and beyond, with great love, passion, and care.
At Eco Borduur Shop, we believe that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand. Our mission is to inspire people to create consciously: with an eye for quality, the environment, and the joy of craftsmanship.
✂️ Anja's story
My name is Anja, and my love of sewing began at a young age. When I was six, I first picked up a needle and thread. My very first project? A pair of trousers, hand-sewn, with pride and childlike wonder.
Over the years, I've knitted, crocheted, and sewed at various times. But in 2016, the itch really started: I bought my first sewing machine, and the first real projects soon followed. In 2018, I added an embroidery machine... and from that moment on, I knew for sure: these are my passions.
I had finally found what truly makes me happy.
It started as a hobby but grew into something much bigger. That's how Eco Borduur Shop came into being, a place where I could combine my love of crafts and my commitment to sustainability.

During my search for materials, I discovered the importance of conscious choices: choosing eco-friendly fabrics, recycled yarns, and ethically produced accessories. What you make says something about who you are, and the materials you work with contribute to a more beautiful world.
